Excitement alert perhaps for Big Star fans as their 2005 comeback album gets re-issued to save you paying outrageous prices on discogs. Previously to this Alex Chilton had little or nothing good to say about his increasingly influential work with Big Star so it was a surprise when he reconvened the band with the help of members of the Posies. It would have been amazing had it been anything of the quality of their earlier records - it isn't- but it's still a Big Star record. It sort of sounds like them and following his passing in 2010 it's one of the last times we heard Alex Chilton's still intact voice and jangly power-pop moves.
