Previously only available as part of a box set, the album is one of Fela's most courageous responses to the destruction of Kalakuta by the Nigerian Army on 18.02.1977. During the attack, his mother, 78 years old at the time, broke her leg when she was thrown out of a window. Fela was convinced that this attack led to his mother's death only 14 months later.
