This is a second edition Family Dog poster; known as ‘the Snake Lady’, this poster was designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelly. The 'Snake Lady" shown in the poster featured in other Family Dog posters. She was lifted from a painting called Die Suende (Sin) by the artist Franz Von Stuck, a work he copied and resold several times. The background was created by spray painting through a lace doily.
