As the smallest member of the range the Sonetto I still incorporates all the iconic elements of the brand including natural materials, the Lute shaped cabinet & artisan finishes. It is easy to drive which makes it a good choice with most medium powered amplifiers and it has a wonderfully natural sound which allows it to really sing in small to medium sized rooms, with or without a subwoofer.

The Sonetto I is a compact speaker which stays true to the brand’s history. Thanks to advanced design solutions and particularly the new reflex port implemented on the speaker’s base the Sonetto I is an outstanding compact performer ideal for medium sized listening rooms, designed to be used on a bookshelf, cabinet or the matching Sonetto Stands.

Sonus faber has always found its inspiration in the highest Italian culture. With Sonetto, the history of Italian literature is used as inspiration for the new collection. The word ‘Sonetto’, or ‘Sonnet’ in English, originally meant ‘Sound’ or ‘Melody,’ and was traditionally used to accompany musical performances. Sonus faber’s new Sonetto collection seeks to marry these traditional forms of sound and poetry within the framework of their acclaimed speaker design.

A Compact Speaker, True To The Brand's History: Thanks to the most advanced design solutions and particularly to the new reflex port implemented on the speaker base in a unique way, Sonetto I is an outstanding performer and compact bookshelf, ideal for middle sized listening rooms, designed for use on a bookshelf or stand. Designed to be a bookshelf speaker in the service of Music, able to involve the listener with discretion and elegance.

Leather Top: The Sonus faber Sonetto collection's floorstanding and bookshelf models inherit from the Olympica line the leather top, hand-sewn, soft to the touch and embellished by the hot branded Sonus faber logo.

Lute Shape: The lute shape that characterizes most of the Sonus faber models, offers a solution that ensures no internal parallel surfaces and perfect control over internal resonances.

The Voice Of Sonus faber: The combination of a silk dome tweeter with the DAD™ (Damped Apex Dome™) technology and a midwoofer with a special natural fibre and paper blend air dried diaphragm, defines the iconic "Voice of Sonus faber". This configuration that characterizes the entire Sonus faber catalogue, from the Reference to the Olympica collection, is available for the first time in this price range.

Midwoofer: These drivers have been designed from scratch specifically for this collection and they all feature the die cast basket, done completely in Sonus faber's laboratories.

Reflex Port: The Sonetto collection's reflex ports are all sited on the base of the speakers, except for the centre channels, to keep the design as clean as possible and at the same time make in-room placement very forgiving.

Sonetto Floor Stands: Consistent with the most prestigious Sonus faber models, aluminium has been chosen for the floor stands, extruded or milled from solid billets, to provide extreme rigidity. (Floor Stands sold separately).
