Grizzly Bear never officially disbanded. In the six years since their last shows, the four members, Chris Bear, Ed Droste, Daniel Rossen, and Chris Taylor, who came together two decades ago as casual friends or even complete strangers, have ventured into other paths. They’ve explored new musical projects, pursued different careers, nurtured families, and lived lives outside the boundaries of the band. Now, for the first time since 2019, these four musicians and friends are returning to Grizzly Bear, reconnecting to explore the bonds that once made them one of the most captivating and cherished acts of this century, and to see where those connections might lead next. Because Grizzly Bear never broke up, these first shows in six years aren’t a reunion; they are simultaneously a point of arrival and departure, with their next destination still uncertain.
