Molchat Doma - Etahzi, Coke Bottle Clear Vinyl LP

Belarusian trio Molchat Doma's second LP, Etazhi, meaning "floors," was first released in 2018 on Detriti Records in Berlin. It became a viral hit with over a million views on YouTube and a phenomenon on Bandcamp. The band may fly under the radar in their native Belarus, but they've reached a huge audience across Europe and beyond. Six vinyl pressings of the album sold out in quick succession, and Sacred Bones Records is now pleased to finally reissue the album.

Molchat Doma (translated as "Houses Are Silent"), formed in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave and synth-pop. Somber yet danceable and with a heavy dose of gothic ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters before them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is instantly recognizable as their own.

The band consists of Egor Shkutko who sings the Russian lyrics in his deep monotone, Roman Komogortsev on guitar, synthesizers and drum machine and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synthesizers.
